On Earrings, Among Other Things
Having a Y chromosome has made me averse to ever playing to a female character on Guild Wars; there's something to be said there, but that's not the gist of my question.
After creating and deleting three male elementalists due to a perceived lack of decent looking faces and armor, I caved in and created a female ele. I began to search to search for armor; that rant is too bets saved for another thread. The one thing that I noticed is that some armor sets have earrings for headpieces. I've been playing for three years or so -- on male characters -- but have never encountered them in game. They're subtle, for sure, but I'm sure some Guru veteran better than I can help me in this regard: I would hate to pay through the nose only to pay for yet another ugly swirling aura around my head. Which sets have earrings, and which sets have normal auras? |

There are no headsets that are earrings. The earrings are tied to the chest piece.
If you don't like how the headgear looks, you can turn off displaying it in the inventory screen. http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Elementalist_armor

If your favored set does not have earrings, texmod them in from another set.

http://guildwars.wikia.com/wiki/Elem...te_Luxon_armor These sets have earrings for sure. Haven't looked through all the sets. Never noticed this since I play a male ele until I bought elite Kurzick for my necro and she got earrings. |

That won't work if the favored set does not have the wiremesh for earings in the first place. The most you could manage with texmod would be to paint studs onto your character's lobes. Certainly you wouldn't be able to add any of the hoops or hanging earings of some of the armor sets
